Challenge & Context

🧩 The challenge with ARC Reef was that the site is not a simple brochure presence. It blends multiple website behaviors at once: organizational messaging, science and conservation education, article-style content, and product-driven browsing. That kind of structure naturally creates a heavier user experience if performance is not handled carefully. 📱 Performance matters even more on a website like this because users may enter from many different paths — educational searches, product discovery, or direct brand visits. Speed optimization therefore had to support both usability and continuity across very different page types without disrupting the existing public experience.

Approach & Architecture

🏗️ We approached the project as a targeted performance-improvement initiative for a large, mixed-purpose website. Rather than treating speed as a single technical score, the goal was to improve how efficiently the site behaved across its core content flows, especially where users move between guides, conservation material, and product pages. 🔍 The focus was on preserving the richness of the platform while reducing friction in the browsing experience. For a website with this blend of informational depth and commercial browsing, optimization had to respect the site’s structure while making the overall experience smoother and more efficient.
