About the Project

How the project started

The project started with developing some features for the upcoming MVP website of Homi which included a progressive interactive form for property valuation requests and a schedule tour functionality with calendar availability for booking properties to view.

A complete MVP Website

More features where added during the development with an internal message system for sellers and buyers, seller availability and tour requests management interface along with a modern landing page and finishing touches for the customization of the theme to complete the MVP website.

Challenging Parts

Progressive Interactive Form

A form used for the free valuation service the company provides with custom illustrations for each step, a step by step form completion with progress indicator that provides the best user experience for providing property information and make the requests.

Messaging System

An internal messaging system between potential buyers, sellers of the properties and the Homi admins to chat about a specific property making communication easier along with providing control to the company of how buyers and sellers are communicating.

Schedule Tour and Availability

A per property calendar of availability where the sellers set the dates and times they can receive requests to show their property to a potential buyer and can be booked through the property page. Sellers can manage tour requests and edit their calendar easily through their profile interface.

Our Approach

Technologies

The website is developed on WordPress with overriding and extending the Houzez WP theme with a custom plugin developed specifically for the needs of Homi to add the features they wanted such as the interfaces, the custom user roles for buyers and sellers, the schedule tour, availability calendar and the progressive form for property valuation.

Design

A minimal approach was taken for the majority of the pages which is a big trend this period and will continue for the next 2 years. In combination with the interaction animations and the progressive steps for the various website’s forms the clutter of information and input of users is limited as much as needed to provide an easy to use interface and a great and new digital experience in the real estate industry of Greece.

THE AFTERMATH OF OUR SERVICES.

Result and Impact

The website is completed and ready to be populated with properties and sellers. It has been already been viewed by potential investors who would like to be part of the new way that Homi provides for selling and purchasing properties in Greece.

Now Homi is able to see how the market behaves to that new way and how the platform needs to adapt up to extend to become the best platform for the real estate industry in the region.
